As I am polishing up my lighting bolt, from my golden throne, I catch a glimpse of what appears to be Odysseus trying to defeat the Cyclops. He has come to him unwelcomed and unexpectedly and is basically trying to take over. I sit and watch while this all goes on, through everything to see what happens next. I watch Odysseus lie about his name to trick the Cyclops. I watched Odysseus blind him and steal from him. I feel bad for my brother Poseidon. His son Polyphemus is having trouble with Odysseus. He watch him escape and get away as well. Odysseus now thinks he is safe and has no worries. Because of everything I’ve doe for the Cyclops and everything he has doe for me I would be delighted to be on his side and help him through his problems. Finally the Cyclops prays to me and asks my help, that Odysseus never get home and his journey be a disaster. The Cyclops asks that if Odysseus may return home that his days here will be horrible and he will be miserable forever. I first take in what is being asked of me to do and I follow the commands.
While Odysseus is continuing his journey he saves my favorite daughter Helen from Troy. I can’t dare to hold a grudge against him. Although Poseidon will not let go of his hate toward Odysseus because he blinded the Cyclops I must let go. I am so grateful for this, that I show Odysseus I am thankful. I decide to assist him on the rest of his journey. Though he has somewhat crossed me in the beginning he has also did a huge favor for me, which is why I show him respect. Odysseus would not have survived without me. I sent Hermes to warn his about Circe’s power and how to stop it.
